A wiki is a public website where anyone can on the web can visit and update information about many different things. Sometimes information on wiki's aren't true, hence the fact that
anyone who has a wiki (on my wikispace) or anyone elses who isn't set to privite can edit false
information.
How can a Wiki be used in the classroom to help us learn?
A wiki can be used in the classroom to help us learn by sharing information with
other students. You could use a wiki to share information in English class such as
sharing the class assignment, or if a student needs to know how to spell a word such as
"sagacity" then we could make a post and see how many different ways youcould use it in a sentence and such. I believe using a wiki space in class makes learning more fun. If it was up to me, or I'm sure anyone else would agree,we could have the choice of using the internet, and creating our own website, or if we could just sit and listen to the teacher talk all morning, most peoplewould choose wiki. I don't know about any of you,but I'm more willing to work and learn in class if the teacher makes it more fun. What could be more fun than using $1,000 laptops?
